...and just a little more to yesterdays story that may shed a little more light on WHY I was so down...

....starting senior year in high school I dated a guy and we ultimately went out for about 6 years...when we broke up, he started dating a girl (and ultimately married, although now divorced) and in an ironic twist of fate, XSO's new OW's name, which is a highly uncommon name to begin with, just so happens to be the same name of the girl my other ex married.

I was really down - felt it was some kind of cosmic joke. Both of my exes go out with girls with same name. And yeah - I admit it was kind of stupid to think that way, but when you're down, you're down.

But, I've gotten back up.

NM,

You are right. I did not properly appreciate the effect my attempted wake up call would have on you. I hurt you. I'm sorry. I will back off.

Hi NM, sorry I was not around over the weekend. I can not even begin to imagine how hard you sitch is to be in. However I know you are strong and you will make it through this.

I think SO is nuts, just plain nuts.

Hi NM,

Sorry to hear it as well....amazing how when you just start to believe you are compltely detached, something pops up and re-kindles those old feeling of emotional attachment. It seems to me that part of it comes from the feeling that even though things were screwed up as they were, at least there was some "predicatbility" about it. On a positive note, I suspect that this emotional bump will likely be just that, a small bump in the road for you simply because you've come to expect things like this.

Take care of yourself and I sincerely hope this week is much brighter for you.

Rob
