Rigley,

BTDT = Been there done that

Hey, it has been awhile. You are being well cared for by the folks here, but I though I might try to add in the next step in the self-esteem building. Have you been doing the affirmations? Its ok if not, they are not essential, only a tool that can be helpful. But they must be used regularly to be effective. Remember, with affirmations, it is not that you will instantly feel great. You will just "wake up" one day and realize that you feel so much better about yourself.

Anyway, the next step in the process is a series of talking points. I'll copy the first talking point in the next post, and if you feel up to it, discuss what it means to you specifically. I'd be happy to share with you my take on it as well if you like and anyone else should feel free to jump in with their thoughts.

p.s. let me be the next in a long line of people who are impressed with your emotional IQ.

Talking Point 1

Set yourself to accept everything that you feel. Take the attitude that there is no such thing as what you "should feel." You simply feel what you feel. The next thing is to use your judgement about what to do with any feeling you have. It is best to pass over some feelings without doing anything about them, while others need to be expressed in some way. Some feelings help you know what is going on in a situation. For example, if you feel strong trust for someone right away, it could tell you that you are dealing with a con artist, because they are good at getting people to feel trust too soon.
