Some people cannot adjust to the progressives... at first you may feel something that feels like motion sickness. The thing I like about them is that there is usually someplace on the lens that you can find to focus at any distance. With the regular bifocals, if you can't see out of the top lens and you can't see out of the bottom lens, there's no in-between. With the progressives, there is an in-between. This is handy for shopping and especially browsing bookstores and grocery stores where you can't easily adjust your distance from the object you're trying to see. You just move your head up and down until you find a place on the lens that focuses.

The font does seem a bit smaller, doesn't it?! One way to work around this is to go to your My Home page, and at the Main Configuration section at the bottom, the click on edit to the right of Display preferences, number of shown threads, languages, colors....

Second line down from the top, you'll see Which style sheet (skin) do you want to use for your display? Toggle this to Michele's Style (Large). Then hit the Submit button down at the bottom of the page, and you should be good to go with larger fonts.

If this doesn't work, then yes, it might be time for the bi-focals!! Good luck!

I tried that, and it changed it to a really (IMO) unattractive colour scheme. Is it possible to just change the font size?

1. Switch to Firefox if you aren't using it already. It's MUCH better than IE.

2. Hit Ctrl++ to increase the font size.

It's very simple -- as long as you're using a browser that doesn't suck a$$.
