Happy 2006 to all my D/B friends!

I have a good feeling that this is going to be a great year!

So, let me tell you a little story, and this even involves sex! (omy - )

I left off here while I was preparing to move in 3 inches of snow. Well, I have never towed a trailer, or tried backing it up, and ended up doing this in a snowstorm. By the time we got the last load to our new place, there was over four new inches and I didn't own a shovel since the apt complex took care of all that. But we managed. S18 was a big help.

Both boys have adjusted quite well to the move. Oldest just bugs me every so often to go back to the old town and visit. Next week he will be off to the martial arts center here and that should take his mind off of missing friends. S9 adjusted very well, he was back in school w/in a week and that still amazes me! He attends school under an IEP, (individualized education plan) and it has always taken at least 3 weeks to get everyone involved into a meeting. Here it took 3 days!

The principal even pulled some strings to get daycare for me, and I was able to put in two full weeks of work b4 the holiday break. The d/c here just adores s9 already but then they only have him b4 school and he sleeps most of that!

The only real stress and trauma has come from being just outside the city limit, and cable doesn't reach my house. It is only about 1/2 a block away, so maybe this spring??!!

I had to go w/a satellite dish for our tv, but still on a dial up internet service. (the dish was installed just in time to see Mich lose the alamo bowl)

The job is great, I seem to be fitting into the organization well; I'm almost excited to be going back tomorrow.

DD25 (pregnant one) lives only 2 miles from us, so this has been great. S9 loves seeing his sister more often and he has figured it out about the baby! (developmentally he is only about 4, so we weren't sure what he would understand - and no we didn't talk about sex w/him!) We will ask him where the baby is and he will pat his sister's tummy. Not sure if I mentioned it here, but the dr's are fairly certain that it is a girl. DD25 has bought a ton of pink clothes, but at least she did go w/a neutral color of furniture.

My other DD25 made it up for Christmas, so it was really sweet having the family all together. She is being my troublemaker at the moment, she called me the night b4 her trip and told me that she would get to bed early and then ended up partying all night and nearly missed her train. It put a little bit of a sour note on our w/e since all she kept asking for was a beer. I didn't get a chance to sit down and discuss if she may have a drinking problem yet, but I am going to soon. I know that she doesn't have to listen, but I have to speak my piece!

And that is pretty much how I have been living my life lately. I say what I want, and if anyone doesn't like it, tough. My parents and I are on the outs b/c of this, but I have lived my whole life trying to defend myself w/them and if they can't accept me for who I am, then that's too bad!

Oh, and ex called Christmas, was here by nitefall and we spent 3 days together.

more on that story later.

oops, did I say 'sex'? I meant 'ex'.
