CeMar,

You'll have to tell me where being LD is against Biblical teachings. I won't even pretend to be all that knowledgable when it comes to talking about religion and the Bible...but my H is, and this stumped him too.

I know it says "be fruitful and multiply"...but that's merely speaking of procreation.

Help me out here.

GEL, I think Cemar is actually referring heavily on the "complying" part.

That may be...but that doesn't imply anything about "wanting". I would think that if that was the case he'd view "complying" the same way as he does "duty sex".

Just a guess though.

The bible discussion on Sex....with my wife, a true bible beater...it does focus on pro-creation...we are not pro-creating anymore so....I lose my argument

Okay, I"ve thought and thought about this, do we really want to get into a bible discussion Cemar. It's Friday, I'm frisky and I am armed with a 2-week class about recognizing people who use the bible for their own agenda. Did I mention I am feeling VERY frisky today!

Hey, HappyMomo2

What is the 2 week class? Sound great...I am very tired of the bible being used on me...when I'm like I am because God created me that way.

hillockjohn, Hi: The class was part of a "faithwalk" course our church offers (United Methodist) It was super - kind of like an indepth bible 101. Took about 6 months and I learned ALOT! I've got some really good notes if you are interested. Overall thought here though for today - NO ONE can go by the bible specially/detailed, etc. - therefore you can't pick and choose what you think it right and what's wrong. I have to be careful not to go on and on. I am not saying I know alot about the bible mind you - just had my eyes opened to what I didn't know and learned more than I started out with.

Check out this site:

The Marriage Bed

There is a link called "Sexual Responsibility" that quotes from Corinthians 1 and seems pretty specific.

Thanks to Mrs. NOP for pointing out this site.

Okay, after a little more thought. Since this is the avenue your W chooses to use, ask her to pray WITH YOU about it, not FOR you, but with you and to help the relationship in this matter. She should be up for this. Don't let her judge you, and a good comeback for someone who is dead set on judging you on an bible issue is just to say you will ask God about it when you get to Heaven, that no one will know for sure until then.
