Very sorry to hear your ExH is vanishing as a parent. It boggles my mind. Perhaps the greatest joy of my life is being a father and engaging with my children. I honestly can not understand the mindset others have walking away from that. It's going to be harder being a single parent 100% of the time, but take solace in the knowledge that you're doing the right thing for your son and you will have a bond with your son that your Ex will never know.
