This great news is from Chelsea! ******************* Hello to all my DB friends, old and new. I haven't posted about my situation in quite some time. But wanted to finally share where I am currently at.
My H and I have been 'Piecing', consistently, since Feb. And at the end of May he moved back home. His choice, he asked me.
We are doing rather well. And while this is our 3rd....4th attempt (I've lost track), I do feel pretty confident. I don't see the DITHL (deer in the headlights look) anymore in his eyes, but at times I sense they (the aliens) still may have a finger hold. But these times are far and few between.
We've been working on better communication, a more peaceful home environment and speaking up when something is bothering us rather than holding it in to fester.
So for all of you keeping tally of the months, even years, that you've been on this horrible journey...there is hope. My drama unfolded 2 days after Christmas of '98 and one week later my H moved out. It's been a rollercoaster ever since.
My best advice to everyone is time and patience. But also remember to hang onto your OWN dignity and respect.
