Taxes. How do people file when separated? We've lived apart for 8 months and I have provided half the support for our 3 kids. I'm a CPA and I have no problems bending the rules. It benefits both of us to claim head of household so I'd let him claim D14. He'd get the child tax credit but I'd get EIC. He's so distracted right now with work and the OW that I could pretty much do anything I want. I'll be fair but I want to file first.

Thoughts?
