You guys remind me so much of stories my uncle would tell me about his misspent youth, when he would go to dances and play the percentages, goal in mind being to get laid.
however, when he met the love of his life, their connection started on an intellectual level - favorite books. theirs was a passionate union that lasted for 50 years, until he passed. their love faced all kinds of hardships, and was truly a spiritual, intellectual and physical union. And theirs was also a true partnership.
I have had several examples of that in my family.
Ain't settling for less because some HVT --- ooops, high value man --- won't stick unless he gets some on his timetable.

"There's something awfully screwy going on around here!"
Walk along the side of the road with a bag & you're gonna end up with a lot of trash!
Just saw these reddit entries and thought I'll share.
my uncle moved to the Canary Islands, married a model, calls himself an inventor, and is trying to make a living playing semi-professional golf. Also, he had a kid he abandoned to do all this. crazy Irish bastard.
male 40 - 44 I'm in the middle of what my kids and various friends have told me is a mid life crisis. I've killed off my business, signed up for university and dated a couple of much younger women. I also decided to get hold of and restore a pianola because why the hell not? I decided to get off my ass and travel, learn new skills and make new friends.
To be honest, I'm mostly having a lovely time of it! I have occasional bouts of anxiety and despair, but when that happens I go and crank up a piano roll, cook something with the spices I bought back from India, or get cuddly with a beautiful woman.
My advice is to enjoy your mid life crisis to the full, and make the most of it. Because by this point you really can just decide not to give a [censored] about the unimportant stuff and live how the hell you want.
