Good to hear you're doing so well. Your W will suffer the consequences of her actions. She can spew all she wants, but bottom line is that she's left a better man.

Alamo,

I have been following your sitch before I ever actually registered, and you have been there and back!

I wish nothing but the best for you & will keep you in my prayers as you go forth with the new chapter and path that God has placed you on. You keep your chin up and continue being the best Father & Man that you could possibly be.

You have no shame what-so-ever and I commend you for surviving the proverbial Roller-Coaster that never seems to end.

God Speed my fellow DB Brother!

Alamo,
That is a true DB success story!
I just found out my ex is dating a 58-year-old guy. She's 29. In the end they'll do what they will do. Our Exes chose the path of misery and not working on themselves.

Just checking back in to let y'all know how things are doing. Now that I'm moving for bifurcation, I'm not sure if I belong in this group anymore. smile

Thanks for you words of encouragement, Suppo. It hasn't been an easy or pleasant road, no doubt.

Jon, I don't know if I'd call it a "true DB success" story, because the relationship was not mended. If you meant self-change, then yes, I definitely have DB/DR (among other things) to thank!

It's odd to me how my wife is seemingly JUST finding out about two court dates set for:

a. Requesting for her to pay legal fees (Oct 2)
b. Bifurcation (Oct 30)

After all, my lawyer served her legal team more than a week ago, but the way I know my wife just got wind of this is when she sent me another text message just awhile ago:

"Take whatever u want from me. Money. I've given u time. Continue to drain me however u can, just can I please have one uninterrupted month with my the child I labored desperately for, or must you taint that time too?"

She's still quite the drama queen isn't she? I wouldn't even reply.

Don't worry Bond, I didn't respond. Learnt that lesson LONG time ago. However, she did call me yesterday evening to talk about it more. She:

- Played the blame game; that I chose to request the court to recoup my legal/court fees since the final court order only states that I am ENTITLED to recouping. She kept driving home her point that I chose to do this. I said if she hadn't gone down this route in the first place, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

- Asked me how much money I want. She doesn't want to go to court. She's broke. She can't afford to send her lawyer to represent her for the next two court hearings in Oct. I then asked how can she offer to give me money when she says she's broke.

- Said that I've already taken her (not our) son and now I want to take her money AND hurt her month alone with our son. She said the timing of the court hearings seem coincidental. I said that she's barking up to the wrong person when it comes to court hearing dates; I have no control over court schedules.

Then our son wanted to talk to her (he was in the dining room, I was in the living room). She broke down as she heard his voice. He said "mommy, can you forgive daddy. He said he's sorry" (He's been learning about forgiveness through our prayer/bible time and from church). My wife said, "Sometimes it's hard...especially when people keep doing the same thing over and over again." I didn't realize all these legal things correlate to my previous porn issues.

They don't. She's just playing the victim. It's too bad that she hasn't used this opportunity for growth. The court did the right thing in giving you custody, IMO. God bless you and your son.

He-he, I was being playfully sarcastic when I wrote that, unbidden. As we ended our conversation yesterday, my wife added: "May God be with you."

Uhm, wow.

And the religious sniper remarks keep coming from my wife...

"U can have the coat off my back too. And slap my other cheek while you're at it"

Yes, I struggled with this inner conflict earlier in the year when I decided to FIGHT FOR OUR SON. Geez louise. She's hoping that one of these remarks will illicit a response from me, but I'm choosing my battles wisely and rather use my energy for my betterment and our son. I wish she'd do the same.

Well, our son is 1/4-way into his visit with mom. He's in SC all of October and another 10-days with my wife's parents in TN.

Skyping has been helpful, but mom has been behaving almost inconsiderately in terms of making sure that our son gets to talk to me consistently.

a. Last week she "presumed" that I'd be calling our son 3 times only, even though I specifically wrote her that I'd Skype 3-4 times per week. I called on Friday for the fourth call, but she said that she thought I'd only call 3 times and that she and our son were out.

b. Yesterday when I Skyped with our son, she had a movie playing loudly in the background, WHILE my son was eating dinner AND I was trying to talk to him. Needless to say, our son was in distraction central. I don't know where my wife was, but it would've been ideal if the movie wasn't on in the first place. Sure, children get distracted when they chat online, but this was ridiculous. I'm going to make sure she doesn't do the same today.
