Hey that's $200 you can spend on Denmark's great beer and food! :-) You're going to have a blast there!

My Danish sister would agree about the beer but I don't drink beer and even only have foo foo drinks on rare occasions.

Only bad thing is that we arrive at 6:30 am her time. So glad that she loves me. smile I could get to the main train station without problems, but trying to remember the right apartment building might be an issue. lol Then we head off to Germany but not before seeing another dear Danish friend. I am hoping my daughter from Slovakia(she was our exchange student) will be able to meet us for a couple of days.

Off subject question: Do guys of today like girls that are as independent as I am? Just wondering.

Any way, so glad to show off my second homeland to my son and know that he will appreciate it. smile

Well you CAN'T go to Denmark without having at least one beer! grin

As for your question regarding if guys like women you are independent, I can only speak for myself. I am most attracted to women who are balanced, middle of the road types. Again for me, if I meet someone and they are on either end of the pendulum (either too dependent, or completely independent) it's a red flag for me. Really the old saying of "all things in moderation" for me rings true.

Flip the question - do you like men who are completely independent? What are your thoughts on that?

Well it isn't that I want to do everything by myself, as I would prefer to do things as a team. My ex never really got into any fixing type activities and so I was left to figure a lot out by myself.

I wondered if the idea that I felt totally comfortable planning a trip to Europe and would be fine by myself would put a guy off. I think most women wouldn't see that as extraordinary for a man. That was my line of thinking.

Oh well in that case - no it wouldn't put me off at all that you planned a trip to Europe on your own. To me that shows confidence and assertiveness which is a good thing.

Now if you were taking someone along and never asked for their input in the planning at all and did it all yourself, then that might be seen as a bit annoying. However one exception is at the last minute you call me up and ask me to go - I won't be annoyed one bit! wink
