Lisa, I just found your new thread! I was seriously wondering why there had been so little action lately on your old one when I stumbled across this one...I'm glad I found you again!

You always sound so strong and emotionally healthy (isn't that what other people say about most of us who are here on the boards?). I hope that is reality for you and not just an impression.

I am sorry to see that you are going through the D process. I don't know what else to say about that.

But it sounds like you have a lot of other things in your life that are going well or at least have good potential. I'm a little jealous about your planned vacation! I looked it up, as I had never heard of the place. It looks/sounds lovely! I would rather be at the beach than almost anywhere else in the world, and yet I live 1000 miles from the nearest ocean! cry I haven't been on vacation in over 3 years, and have no prospects for it anytime soon, so I guess I am going to go on being beach-deprived.

Anyway, enough about me...sounds like you are doing well, for the most part, and I am always happy to hear what you are up to! Hope your vacation is wonderful!

Peace,
Dawn

Hurray ((((((Dawn, Handsome, K, Michelle and Lovely)))))! Fab to see you guys!!

Dawn- I'm really OK. I have the odd wobble about the D, but I'm expecting it so I'm usually prepared. And I know the wobble's going to pass so I just wait it out..... How did you end up so far from a beach? Come to England, where nowhere is more than 1000 miles from anywhere!

Great news today- my experiment worked! I'm so happy that screamed and danced a jig outside the Royal Exchange, and have spent the last couple of hours doing Mexican waves and jumping up and down clapping my hands in our office. Huuuurrrraaaaaayyyyyyyyy for treating disease!!!!

Hey, Lisa,
Glad you are really OK!

I ended up so far from a beach because both my family and H's had the gall to settle smack dab in the middle of the US, which I think is about as landlocked as it gets! We have plenty of rivers, and a few lakes of some minor substance, but no oceans anywhere!

And hey, I would love to go to England someday! You have so much wonderful history and cool stuff there! I have been to France (when I was 17), but I didn't quite get to any beaches then. I hope that soon I will be independently wealthy and have the means to bop around to all those places in the world I've often longed to see. Right now I am revisiting Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" series (a big favorite of mine), so I have a yen for the Scottish highlands at the moment! wink

Congratulations on your successful experiment! What sort of experiment were you working on? Biology/medicine wasn't my strongest suit, but I do have a science background, so I might understand it to a certain extent!

You always impress me so much with the way you just keep moving forward and refusing to be derailed, Lisa. Hope things just keep getting better!

Peace,
Dawn

Hey, you away already?? I also noticed the same holiday as CEO, but I was perplexed.. how is that possible!? Same week too? Same location?? Was that by accident?

Well done on being super brainy and making your drugs work! You clever sausage you.
