Can anyone recommend any books for the newly divorced on adjusting to their new life, re-entering the dating world, etc.?

(I hope this doesn't violate forum rules, please forgive me if it does. I'm hoping that since I'm asking about books for when it is too late for DBing)
I doubt this would violate any rules.

I liked "Mars and Venus on a date", He's just not that into you" & Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" among others I can't thing of at the moment.

They are all quite different but the ,sot important thing right now is to start reinventing our life. Crating the life you really want. You have a Do Over so make a Bucket List,, find what makes you happy, try to find some balance.

Dating is overrated. Make sure you're really ready before you get back out there. I know more people who thought they started too soon than those who sat back and waited. But it's a personal thing.

Good luck. Taking time for yourself is a gift.

Heh, it says He's Just Not That Into You is the "No-Excuses Truth to Understanding Guys." I think I've got that covered. wink

I'll check out the other two, thanks!

How To Be An Adult In Relationships

Also, I reread Your Money or Your Life - good motivation for dealing with the change in financial circumstances.

I also read a lot of self-help books oriented towards change in general.

I agree with GG on this one - it's an excellent book!

BA
The Bible.
For fiction, I enjoyed reading books about women who got back on the saddle again:
Eat, Drink, Pray, Love
How Stella Got Her Groove Back- even though her husband turned out to be gay!
Under a Tuscan Sun
Persuasion-no divorce, but a long separation
I Don't Care About Your Band: What I Learned from Indie Rockers, Trust Funders, Pornographers, Felons, Faux-Sensitive Hipsters, and Other Guys I've Dated-This one really speaks to me because I date really talented and interesting men who seem sensitive and enlightened and turn out to be feeding me crumbs!

A whole list!
