Concert today, some football after..Time with D. More rebuked emails and messages from the pursuer. I'm still good, tired but good. Dinner at mom's tomorrow, then maybe a workout or a bike ride..or something..

A FB application..a speeddating app..strictly via the web. I went with it thinking she was Ok and knew that distance wise it was pretty safe. She was a real pusher and just could not figure out that if she would back off a bit that there could have been a chance to build a great friendship. Some things she said made me uncomfortable and threw up red flags..

A little update on today..I find it very confusing when dealing with the STBX at times. I took D2 back today @ 12:00. STBX was there and she wanted to know what we wee doing this week as far as visitation..I find it very odd that she does not keep up with the schedule at all. Anyway I told her that it was the last week of the transitional visitation coming up and the schedule was Mon., Thurs., and a Saturday overnight and then I would prefer that we start the regular visitation on the Oct. 1st weekend anyway, she got all upset and started crying because she'll miss D2 during those stretches that I have her..my response(in my head) is cry me a frinkin river...I'm assuming that the reality of the sitch is smacking her asss around right now..she wanted to be a full time mom and due to her actions she will never be that..
Lunch with my mom and family after that..trip to wal-mart..home to watch the US beat Europe in the Ryder Cup..slipped the movie 300 in and watched Spartans kill Persians, while Mikey attempted to kill his abs..

Due to the severity of the post partum depression after our third child I was convinced I would not survive another pregnancy. I was angry and hurt to the core that he would not have the procedure me, giving me the greatest gift.
Right now I'm kinda laughing. Geez.. making him use a condom all the time probably would have worked. Ah well, hindsight!
Anyway.. getting past feeling hurt and sorry for myself gets me out of the wallow of sorrow, anger, bitterness. We all screw up. Try tossing some forgiveness her way. Look at me.. I've just NOW realized twelve years later what my kernel of truth was. All the angst could have been easily resolved by looking outside of our boxes of fear and emotion.

Sure you got comfortable. It happens to the best of us. The real question is did you get comfortable in a selfish way or did you get comfortable because life got in the way? Raising kids and working a full time job to support your family should count for something. Sadly, all of the good stuff and the necessary everyday responsibilities are forgotten.
I still argue that the only way we know how someone feels and what they are thinking is if they tell us. When your wife told you that she wasn't happy I'm sure that you did everything you could to try to "fix" yourself and the problem, but she already knew what she wanted but you didn't, so you tried.
Who knows why they do this stuff? Maybe they do get cold feet or they have a sudden fear of the unknown. The bottom line is that until she out and out tells you why she was so emotional and what was behind it, you still don't know anymore than you did when you were married and she was making a case against you!

I understand all that Bethie..the kicker is, I could really care less why she was..I just find it odd that they lose all conception of common sense and logic. I don't know that it ever comes back. At one time I thought she was the brightest individual in the whole world when in reality she is dumber than dumb.

Have fun fishin'. I grew up fishin for small mouth. My grandfather was an engineer for the army corps of engineers - had 400 acres in N. MO that he kept natural, except he built some dams to create lakes and he planted browse for deer and turkey. I grew up running wild on that place and the small mouth lake was always my fave.
But, I was going to tell you a funny story. When I lived in the SW, this pal and I decided we'd do a winter fishing trip. Decided to take some potatoes to have with our fish. So, we hike down into this canyon, set up camp, and then go fish. And pull out the whiskey bottle. And fish. And whiskey. And fish. Well, what we didn't know was that there was this big storm moving in, so none of the fish are biting, right? Anyway, we're getting sh*tfaced, so at the end of the day all we have are these potatoes. We start a fire and we're drinking and getting more drunk and we know we need to eat something and we wrap these potatoes in foil and start to put them in the coals and I say, "Hey, I bet I can throw this farther than you." Well, this buddy gives me a grin and LAUNCHES his potato out into the darkness. I tossed mine a few feet and said, "Guess you win." While he stumbled around trying to find his potato, I ate. LOL.

OK..me today, fishing.
Out early, met my buddy for a fishing trip on the North Fork of the Holston River in SW Va. At the put in by 8:00 am..the later low and clear with an air temp around 55*. Saw lots of wildlife, deer, otter, ducks. In the water at 8 out about 3:30..I ended up catching 16 fish, 4 of those in the 2-3# class. About 6 of the fish were small mouth bass, the rest were bluegill and Rock bass(red-eye in this area)I missed maybe 10 fish. All the fish were striking short for some reason, maybe the cool temperatures? My buddy ended up with 25 fish. He probably had 6 small mouth in the 2-3# class. We had a good time. I had not fished with him in years so it was nice to reconnect with him.
Home, washed clothes, turned the dishwasher on, finished off the pulled pork with a big salad, my sis came by and we hung the remaining pictures up in the guest bedroom. Watched Biggest loser while attempting to shred my abs again.
Nights here for me are starting to get lonely and I don't really know what to do to combat that loneliness. It's not in my bed alone loneliness, but the loneliness up until bedtime that is hitting me and I really don't have a clue what to do about it.
Back to the grind tomorrow.

The weekend is here. Finally. Not much going on the last two days for me. Working out, doing chores around the house. Watched the movie "Jumper" night before last. Work out day today. Going to see the movie "Nights in Rodanthe" tonight. It was filmed on the Outer Banks. I actually know the exact house it was filmed in. I need to go watch a good LOOOOOVVVVEEE story..
Had D last night for a few hours. Have her tomorrow overnight and then that will be the last of the 6 week transistional crap..the permanent visitation starts on Oct. 8th.

Wow..it's a pretty mundane life I'm leading but it's better than the drama of being with/around her..The movie night for me ended up a bust, all shows were sold out on Friday night. I'm going to try and go on Monday night I think. Last over night visitation for D last night. The permanent visitation starts May 8th. Take D back today at noon. Golf T-time at 2:00. Don't know what I'll do after. Still struggling for some reason. I think it may be the loneliness more than anything else. I'm getting ready to pull a long stretch here without seeing my D. I took my D to my mom's yesterday..my whole family ended up being there which was good. On a side note the Tide rolled over Georgia and UT lost. All is right in the world.

Tsk!!! I only mention the tight pants because all the reviews said the movie was horrible!!! They mentioned that they thought his pants were too tight. NOT!!! Couldn't cry (cuz I carry X's set in my purse, ya know) but definitely had a huge lump in my throat at the end............ Even MG was sniffling. I had to pretend not to notice cuz, well, he's 6' and kinda burly. But......he loves chick flicks and I love him for loving them!!!

No way would I see that movie. I've seen the trailers twice and that was way more than I could handle. I don't like to see blood and guts and I don't like to see people being mean to other people. I was invited to go to see "No Country for Old men" and I think I probably lasted all of 5 minutes. I had to tell my date that I was going into another theater to watch a chick flick by myself.

I wish I knew why I am only getting five hours sleep tops. Last night i went to bed at 2, turned the light off around 3, and was up by 7 this morning. That is about par for course. It is always like this when my H is deployed, but now I get to add all the other crap on top of it, too, making it that much harder.
As for a good stiff one-----Nevermind, I am not going there!

My choice of words wasn't the best. I understand now and I hope that changes. I never had a husband who was deployed but I know what it is to have my world shattered and be unable to sleep for a full night. You are under a LOT of stress. I hope for your sake it gets better!

I was thinking about the feeling of 'aloneness'. Perhaps its the flipside of 'living high drama', where everyday is a one-two punch. There's an ebb in the action and nothing to fight.
