The same first AND middle names? Geez, what are the odds of that?!

To quote Will Smith in Men In Black: You know the difference between you and me? I make this look good.

ahh you all made me laugh. Ya X is sure original huh? Also found out that HE filed for the D from his first wife. He told everyone she left and she filed. Can you say repeat??? Bet he had dejavu when he said his wedding vows. "do you T take K to be your wife?" HA!
Posted By: BethM Re: Does he say my name? - 08/06/08 02:10 AM
Ah he's a big a loser. Let's take bets on how long this one will last. I wouldn't be buying any monogrammed towels if I were him!
Posted By: shoeprincess Re: Does he say my name? - 08/06/08 02:14 AM
he already has some! LOL no need to buy new ones. just seems like everything goes along with no thought or mention of X and you think nothing else can be found out then BAM something hits.Maybe I just need to move out od state
Posted By: Rob1231 Re: Does he say my name? - 08/06/08 02:17 AM
So, did his first wife have the same initials too? Maybe he makes all of his life decisions based on not having to get new towels.

Maybe you and she should chip in together on a billboard about him.
Posted By: shoeprincess Re: Does he say my name? - 08/06/08 02:26 PM
funny BH! could not sleep last night. the whole name thing got to me. then I started thinking back to when the whole affair could have started. when did I see signs but brushed them off? which then led to all the lies he told after I found out. My brain would not shut off about this stuff. Does it ever go away?
Posted By: BigHands Re: Does he say my name? - 08/06/08 02:36 PM
Sure does.

Time for some old-fashioned thought-stopping, maybe?
Posted By: BethM Re: Does he say my name? - 08/06/08 02:37 PM
((((((Princess)))))))

Of course I want to tell you that it doesn't matter, who cares, don't wast the brain space, but I know that it's not that easy. Although I do think as time goes on it does seem to be a much smaller part of our consciousness. Get over it completely though? I don't think we ever totally forget. Afterall, it was a very hurtful and traumatic experience which some liken to a form of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

As my GF the shrink said, "you'll get past it but you'll never totally get over it!"

Have a great day!

Love,
Bethie
Posted By: Trip Re: Does he say my name? - 08/06/08 03:26 PM
I think it gets easier but never truly goes away. Really how can it? It's an experience we were given even though we didn't want to partake. The key thing is how we deal with it that makes the difference to our future happiness.
Posted By: BigHands Re: Does he say my name? - 08/06/08 03:38 PM
Some good points here.

For it to just go away would mean it never mattered. We all know that it did. You loved and married this guy for real. It wasn't playing house or anything like that. It was a real, live marriage. So, it can't just go away. It's something that helps shape who you are, who you become, and how you deal with things. So, I think the thing to do is address the thoughts giving you trouble and move on as the better person you've become and will always be.

Its ok to be mushy around people we care about ;0

The hard part about triggers is that we never know what it is that may set us off. Progress is how often and for how long they affect us....bet you've noticed that they are much fewer and far between, and not as deep, yes...?
Posted By: Trip Re: Does he say my name? - 08/07/08 04:27 AM
You are so right about the triggers, Donna. We just never know when one is going to fire!

true Donna very true. I am alot better now than 10/06. I am stronger than I think \:\)
Posted By: Reincarnated Re: Does he say my name? - 08/07/08 04:57 AM

Posted By: Trip Re: Does he say my name? - 08/07/08 05:08 AM
That's a great thing that we have found ourselves stronger. After all, that's part of moving forward. Not always easy but I believe we are the better for it on that level.
Posted By: Lissie Re: Does he say my name? - 08/07/08 01:36 PM

Shoe, I just read this, and I think that would bother me too, the same exacty name. ICK

Actually, it was before I knew she was OW. H told me he ran into her on a hospital tour when he took a new job. She was a girlfriend from 20+ years ago. I knew there was just a teensy bit too much excitement in his voice when he was telling me about her, her horse farm, and her first horse with my name! Two months later, they're talking about spending the rest of their lives together and my marriage is over. I can only hope this horse throws her hard!
Posted By: Trip Re: Does he say my name? - 08/08/08 02:46 AM
Blech! Yeah, real hard!

I remember that kind of knowing something was up by tone from H. He would be sort of too giddy about some of the women he would meet at work and such. Now I know why of course.

Hi all. I really have no news. Carmel was fun. ate lots of seafood. oysters on the half shell, crab, calymari.Room was awsome. ocean view. listning to the waves at night was so peacful. I cried a few times because I missed my dogs that I used to take there. Took J to the carmel mission and he really liked it. I showed him how to light a candle and say a prayer for people that have passed away. he even teared up. He is gone for 3 weeks so I have some things planned. have some movies coming from netflix. Nights out with girlfriends, organizing photos , etc. My first night of being solo staretd off good. Trip and I were able to catch up and have some laughs. Thanks girl!. Tomorrow I am going to go spend time with my best friend. Her H is away on a trip visiting his brother. She decided not to go because she really dislikes the bro and sis in law because they disrepected her in her on house last year. Well the sis in law found out the other night that she was not coming and left her a snotty message like" so I heard you are not coming... whats wrong, you cant fnd time to see us?" so my friend called and listed off several very good reasons why and she also said" BTW just so you know blank and I are having probelms". Ugg she told me that and I was so sick to my stomach. The whole scenerio brings back memories of when my H left to go see his brother and told me the space would do me good and I could see if I missed him. Her H told her the same thing. And my X's bro and sis in law were being snotty to me also. I know they have had cousnling before and I am going to suggest they go again. her H does not see the issues at hand even though she tells him over and over. So we shall see. I will do my best to be supportive.
Been feeling a little down this. August was the month I found out about the affair. Ya I knwo its been 2 years but I dont know if I will ever like the month again. well i will end this long boring post. hope everyone is having a good week.

How's it going, shoe?
Posted By: shoeprincess Trouble in paradise?? - 09/01/08 04:58 PM
Hi trip!
Juat been trying to catch up on work since my jury duty ended. Nice experiance, but don't want to do it again. Talked to my best friend last night and had a good chuckle over the X and OW. Last weekend was the SF Giants game were people are allowed to bring their dog to the game. X and I did this a few times and had a blast. Well I guess he and hoodrat were going to go with their new dog. (a breed that he never liked but now has). My best friend, her H and SIL and BIL had tickets but not in the dog area. My X had been houn ding them to come over and say hi. My bf and her sil thought it would be a good chuckle to go and check out the hoodrat. So all four treck to the other side of the stadium. They find my X standing by himself with the dog. ( the four legged one). My BF said he was acting kind of nervous and un settled. When asked where is wife was at he said she was siiting in their seats and had sent him up for a sandwhich and drink. So the X starts squirming and says he better go and get her food. So he leaves my BF holding watching the dog. She says the dog fits him, small dog for small guy. \:D So X comes back and says he will go and bring hoodrat back up to say hi. My BF's H goes with the X. About 5 minutes later BF's H comes back by himself. When asked why he was alone he said X introduced him to hoodrat and she said hi and then turned her back and starting eating, and that was that. So the group of four was like fine we did not want to meet her anyway. So the X did say for them to call him after the game to hook up for awhile. So my BF was like why should we put forth another effort when the hoodrat has no intrest. So they decide to test the X. All four called his cell and what do you know? it would ring then go to VM. So by BF was like good. We have mave made the effort a few times( only because the X kept bugging them and would not give up about he and hoodrat getting together with BF and her H). So then later on their is a VM from H saying he was sorry he did not answer but his battery died. They were all like ya ok, we are not stupid the hoodrat was calling th shots. besides he could have called from her cell if his was truley dead. I dont know but if I were in her shoes (which I never would) I would try like heck to be friendly and likeable to people no matter who they were.)
Now another episode of the hoodrat's true colors coimg out. I guess X went to go get his haircut not to long ago. ( By Bf and her H and her mom go to the same guy). So the x is done with the haircut and the guy asked him to go grab a beer and X got nervous again and said he could'nt. So the hair guy walks outside with X and sees hoodrat waiitng in the car! It was like 103 that day also. I guess she was not looking really thrilled. Then hair guy was like ok.... She used to always come in with the X and used to be friendly. So my BF thinks that her true colors are now showing now that she is married. She is already shutting X off from people. i can only imagine what she is doing with his family. I know I should not care but I found this all very amusing last night. She is making QUITE the impression. ;\) I wont dwell on the good news. It wont do me any good
Anyone else hear about thier X's new spouse's turning unfriendly aafter they got what they wanted?
Sorry for the long post. Hope everyone is enjoying labor day.
Posted By: BethM Re: Trouble in paradise?? - 09/01/08 07:36 PM
Well Sweetie,

My ex can't seem to make any lasting relationships, so I don't have any experience with that, but I'm not surprised. Everybody's on their best behavior until you really get to live with someone and the reality of everyday life comes into play. I'm sure she went along with everything in order to get what she wanted. Now she has it and her true colors are showing. You have to wonder what ex thinks of his decision making skills now.

This could make for a very long life!

Hope all is well with you!

Love,
Bethie

How long were you into the jury duty for, shoe?

Funny story about your ex and the hoodrat! Apparently, my aunt was like that. I don't know personally because I never met her. Family issues from way back but anyhow, it gets brought up every time her name come up in conversation. This is like 30 odd years. Still the talk of the family.
