I decided to start a new thead dedicated to being thankful. I think that that is what my higher power wanted me to learn. When I look back at my life I wish things were better different. I complained too much about what I deserved. What and how my life should look like. I hated when my plans didnt go as planned. Dont get me wrong I had a very hard upbringing. Full of moves from one country to another, domestic violence, suicides and mental illness, cheating father who is still idiolized by my younger brother. I wasn't an angel either.

I forget how much God has given me and continues to give me. So today while sitting on my pitty potty I realized how good I have it even after the break up of my family.

It is about perceptions and how you see and think about things.

What are you thankful about?

Life after divorce - & mine is so much better with Josh
Close relationships with my 3 kids who have grown into pretty decent adults
That I still have my wonderful dad at 88!
That I live in a very peaceful place that really makes me happy

I am thankful that I have found a faith, church and friends that are awesome! I am thankful for my camera which allows me through my lens to find the beauty/significance of the tiniest things in God's world and share them with others. I am thankful for my two amazing daughters who are not only my daughters but my friends. I am thankful for the bumps along the way that teach me things about life and how to be a better person. I'm also thankful for A God who accepts me as I am...and has incredible patience!

I am thankful for:

- my four kids that make my life simply awesome!
- finding a wonderful woman to share the rest of my life's journey.
- a well paying job that provides steady employment, pays my bills, puts my kids through college without incurring debt and funds my planned retirement.
- my health.
- my attitude and determination to find the silver lining and pick myself up no matter what obstacle the universe decides to throw in my path of life.

When I posted this the other day I was having anxities and fears. Putting my feelings and coming back later to read them really clears things up for me. Sometimes the negative thinking takes the best of me. Jack3Beans posted something the other day that resonated " for those of you who are going through a rough time. Things will get better. For those of you where everything is going great. Things will get worse". It was along those lines hope he doesnt mind smile.

I am thankful for this place and the many friends I have made here. I am thankful that I have 3 jobs. Yeap I said that...Im laughing too.

Going through a rough patch. Had oral surgery last Tuesday and it still hurts today. I have plantear faciatiis and its killing me. Been a year. My body just hurts... lost some weight after my oral surgery.

That^^^[censored].

But i have 11 Percocets left. My boss is clueless and we both seem to know it. My pool is open and clear. My wife is super hot. My backyard is looking better. Need to prune a pine cause is getting too big. Was a gift from ex MIL. Hope it survives my surgical procedure. A mixed bag. But that is life smile

Hey Rick!

Let me start by saying, I had plantar fasciitis many years ago. Painful, no relief from all I tried. Then I read a medical advise column in the Washington Post which mentioned wearing Birkenstocks to help. I bought one pair, wore them all the time. It really worked, I only wore them for years. I think it might have hurt my real estate career and my sister made many jokes about people who wear Birkenstocks and socks.....

What am I thankful for? All of you on here for one.

My kids, my job, my dogs, the beach and being alive!

Aloha All!
