The DB/DR books recommend that we set small term goals to track our progress & to give some focus, I thought it might be nice to share our goals in one place & even have some help/encouragement when setting them?

I try to look back at mine every 2 weeks and see if they've been achieved and then either tweak or set new ones.

Anyone with me?!

My current goals are:

1/ H to show me some respect - This had gone out of the window again recently so i've gone back to an early goal.
2/ Listen & validate - I need to work on this again as i've slipped recently, need to STFU!
3/ More relaxed interactions - We've had very low contact recently so want to see if we can be more relaxed when interacting.

I like this thread. My goals:

1. STFU/validate more.
2. More casual time spent together (his initiation)
3. Be more compassionate (although I think that's something to "learn to become" rather than "do".)

Hmmmm let me think:

1.My H served me two weeks after BD, my main goal has been to handle this with dignity nd integrity. I have done this so far, maybe a little much. This goal may change as we go into the negotiation phase of the D.

2. Have more patience with my kiddos. I have been way more mindful of this, but still have my bad days.

3. Get in the best shape of my life so my H can eat it.......I mean so I can feel good about myself. This is the goal I have the most contol over, so I need to be more consistent.

4. Get a job after D.

Lol I like this thread , thank you upwards!!:

1. Find my trueself, a spiritual version of me and find what makes me happy without focussing so much in making others happy.

2. Do more sports and get away from the cold weather.

3. Do service to others and stop feeling less than others for doing so.

4. Be humble and accept life the way it is, nobody its against me.

5. Going to college and get a nursing degree.

6. Pay debts back and become financially responsible.

7. Listen more and talk less.

This is a fun thread, thanks Upwards! I don't really have short term goals, mine are more within a few months.

1. Loose 30 more lbs.
2. Get active with group at church (was doing backslide recently)
3. Learn to ride a motorcycle this summer
4. Learn to play a guitar (have the guitar and learning tool already but I need to invest time)
5. Get out of my house and into an apartment
6. Detach so W moods quit affecting me so much

1. Loose 5 pounds to be beach ready in June
2. Run three days a week
3. Sign up for a DB coaching session
4. Sign up for golf lessons
5. Enforce no R boundary with H
