SDA Lady told me that she used to get emails from guys in their early twenties saying things like "ur so hot". She'd email back saying "is that any way to talk to a lady who is old enough to be your mother?" lol.

Btw, email from my lawyers office telling me that a judge issued the Divorce Order on January 26 and I will be officially divorced on Monday February 27. Congrats to me... yet I still want to cry.

Sorry to hear that. You did what you could to save the M. I don't know your whole sitch but after being with someone for so many years a D is like tearing of flesh. It needs time to to heal. it is very normal to feel sad.

Thanks Rick, we were married 17 years. I teared up at work a couple of times today but if I didn't I'd be worried! The end is eleven days away... and then a new beginning.

17 years is a long time and I bet many of those years were good? If not most. Like Albert Ellis would say " it ain't the end of the world". Wish you well

I talked with SDA Lady this morning. It was accidental actually. I pressed her number by accident. Anyway, we started talking and she told me she had just finished talking to her D20 in the Philippines who was having some issues she wanted to talk to her Mom about. I didn't inquire further but then SDA Lady said "could I talk to you about it? Sometimes two heads are better than one." Apparently Dad is being very controlling with D20. So we talked about the issue and how hard it is to be the parent on the outside when these issues come up. All you can really do is advise your child as best you can, listen and empathize. Anyway, it was a nice feeling to know that SDA Lady looked to me to share this with. I didn't inquire when she said her D20 had some issues cuz that was her business. She asked me if we could talk about it. That was nice, it means she trusts me.

Another lovely day with SDA Lady. We went to a mall downtown because the T-shirts she bought last week were too small and this store has two outlets in the entire city! We hung around the mall for a bit, I'm learning about designer fashions. We also spent time at a bookstore. Afterwards we went to a vegetarian buffet restaurant I know where you pay according to the weight of your plate. We stayed there for about two hours. SDA Lady pulled the Hershey's X's and O's chocolates I bought for her last week out of her purse for our dessert. She brought them so we could share them, she said "have a kiss, you already get the hugs" I said the chocolate was very sweet and she said "just like you". I dropped her off at about 9:00pm. When I got home I texted her thanking her for a lovely play date (the 6 year old she's a Nanny to wished her a happy play date before she left). She then phoned me and we talked for another 45 minutes. Tomorrow we are going to the Science Centre and to Montana's for dinner and she says it's her turn to pay. I can live with that. So, we're having a wonderful time together, we're both very affectionate. She takes my hand as often as I take hers. We hug and snuggle on the subway train...and we just keep on talking to each other. It's nice.

Hey on the divorce thing on the previous page. I understand completely. My "prove-up" day here, the final hearing, I didn't/couldn't go. I made sure I was working out of town. I couldn't stand in front of a judge and hear the gavel come down.

Of course, as you've seen on my thread, I'm still an emotional wreck at times.
