I think so too. smile. I get to meet up with the boys tomorrow to enroll S15. I am having to go in early to make sure I get my time in. They are saying it will take about an hour. I hope everything goes smoothly. smile

Spoke with the university to see how S18 has to apply his scholarships and his grant. Sounds super easy. Spoke with S18 about his books. He said one of them is about $265!! The rest seem to be more in line. At least he has some money left over to cover all of that.

Hopefully it will start to cool down before school starts. It was 111 today and the a/c and most of the power went out at work. At least I got to head home early.

Has he checked textbooks.com and amazon.com? I bought almost all my textbooks used off Amazon. Even with used books, Amazon handles the payments and doesn't charge until the seller confirms shipping. It's pretty safe, just have to make sure you do it far enough in advance that they arrived before classes really get going.

I also created a seller account to resell them after the semester was over.

Saved me TONS of money.

Glad you got to go home early at least! LOL

I buy quite of my book clubs off there and haven't had any problems. We are going to try and start looking tonight if he ever gets home from his girlfriends house. Lol. I guess we have a bit of time. Lots to do the next few days but then it will slow down for a few days before school actually starts.

LOL! Well, it should be important to him as he's the one who will be saving the money. So I'm sure that will motivate him a bit LOL. GFs are distracting though!

I guess this best part is that I like her. She is getting him to try things that he normally doesn't. She even got him to ride a roller coaster (albeit with his eyes closed)! He has been scared of them since he was little.

I have got to get him going on this stuff though. This is the kid that still hasn't sent out thank yous for graduation!!

Yesterday we celebrated D10's birthday early since she will be with her Dad on her birthday. Went to the indoor place like last year. Getting there early is the best as we pretty much have the whole thing to ourselves. Went on the go-carts, a rope maze that is like 15 feet above the ground( thank goodness we had a harness!), a rock climbing wall, video games and laser tag. We played against a bunch of little kids.

They were hilarious. They kept trying to shoot you even though they had been tagged and their guns weren't able to shoot! Then off to the waffle house. Had to get home early as S18 had to work. I think we all had a pretty good time. D10 is excited because tomorrow we are making her cake and going out to eat for her birthday. Lucky girl getting it spread out!

It's official...my baby is 11! Happy birthday Elena!! She is the sweetest surprise I could have ever asked for. She is a bit of a puzzle but makes everyday special. I wouldn't trade her for everything!

Lucky me! kat
