He told me back in May/June that he never wanted the dogs when we got them. He also said he wanted a life with "no responsibilities." Of course, I shouldn't have believed that.

This little dog is just precious and I just want what's best for him....:(

Ah, that makes sense.

Don't feel badly for the dog. I know you will miss him, but if he has a little boy to love him and spend time with him...now that's a very generous gift.
